Walk down the street via the complex simplicity that is Richard S. Allen II as he delivers his world experiences in which he lives, through his random beliefs mashed with unorthodox skills of technological writing and vivid color. Its the gift and the curse.

In The Game of Life Whens Your Turn??

So I've been wondering why the world is the way it is? For the average guy, the world can be a harsh place you know. Just think you do all the right things, make all the right "personal" moves: go to school, work hard, make good grades, go to college, graduate college, not on drugs, no kids, got a job, got a car, etc, etc the list can go on and on for all the things you do in your life thats "positive" for you. Yet you are soo far behind in society among your peers because now, you owe money, got debt, got bills, make "so-so" money, etc, etc you just find yourself at a dead end resulting you in actually contradicting yourself and the decisions you've made to come this far.

You take a look around you and everyone is doing well, yet you have the credentials that are supposed to surpass them. Can someone explain that? How are you to catch up from so far behind in the race, wheres the express lane, wheres the cheat code, what corner do you have to cut? Because you look at those ahead in this race and you see a lot of them are born into their success or sell their soul to become this term that we call "successful." That's what we want to be right? Successful, in school, in our jobs, in our marriages, in our homes. Successful.

So you ask, what is success? Ah yes, and here is the beauty in the term we call success, it's a wonderful thing because we get to create our very own definitions. But, and there is always that big fat voluptuous round end waving right in front of your face, yes, that BUT! We all, you, me, mom, Granny, Me-ma, and AYO's (All you others) decide that you need to educate people on what success is. Who in the fuck are you to tell ME, the creator of my OWN PERSONAL definition of success is, what success is and have to audacity to tell me that I'm not successful. And why not you ask, why are I deemed UNSUCCESSFUL? Because I'm not you? Because I'm not rich or famous? Because I cant get a Coach purse or drive a BMW? Is that why I'm not successful?

One of my good friends, Lyfe, tells me to "fake it till you make it," and I say why? Why not continue your path, be it slow and steady, carving and defining your work of art. Why not tune out all the outside input and focus on the stability of clarifying your definition. Once we realize that it really not a game, that it's not a race, we will begin to see. Because years upon years you'll be able to look back and appreciate the time you spent on becoming, what you know and lot yourself to be known, as successful, and that what we all just want to be. (Que Drake) LOL!
